Get Prepared Now
When November rolls around, anything becomes possible north of Sault Ste. Marie. Temperature swings are fast and furious. It can be a warm fall day, then a day later, whiteouts shut down highway 17 between Batchawana Bay and Wawa. This November will be no different, so get those sleds and trailers ready for some November snowmobiling. If you look at my annual November snowmobiling start dates listed above, there's a 90% chance that we will be snowmobiling in November before the end of the month north of the city.

Identify the Storms
When the winds shift to the North-West and temperatures drop, snow squalls start brewing. They can last for hours or days and some years are worse than others. Who knows what November and December 2024 will bring, however, based on previous year traditions, get ready to be blasted north of Sault Ste. Marie and perhaps the Sault as well.
