FIRST RIDE OF THE SEASON
November 25th Report - Achigan Ontario
What are you waiting for? Get off that computer and get outdoors. Snowmobiling season has started, so fire up that sled. The 1st sled-run north of the city was a great success with 10" of powder riding.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW
Right on queue for this time of year, the north-west winds blew in from Lake Superior and dumped fresh powder in and north of Sault Ste. Marie. Higher elevations benefited the most, due to colder temperatures.

FRESH POWDER
Upon arrival at Searchmont, I was disappointed to see less snow there as compared to Sault Ste. Marie. From my past November riding experiences over the years, I knew I had to get into the snowbelt in order to find ridable conditions. I continued northward with trailer in tow and it wasn't more than 10 kms up the road, the snow doubled in depth and it was enough to unload and get started. With the sled fired up, I continued northward and locked-in on the Snow-Belt.

FUTURE PROJECTIONS
Its looking good for the week of November 29th to December 6th, with snow expected to fall almost every day, particularly north of Sault Ste. Marie.
